The largest roof deck in Philadelphia, Aqua Foro is a stunning 25,000 square foot rooftop pool club designed by DIGSAU, complete with interconnected set of large pools, hot tub, splash pad, fire pits, kitchens and lounge space. Like the rooftop gardens of Rome, this unexpected sky garden is simultaneously urban and ethereal. A celebration of water and wellness, Aqua Foro evokes the beauty of an ancient ruin and the thrill of a futuristic retreat.
An expansive terrace with cabanas surrounds the pool with dramatic architecture serving as both beautiful design and shade, as well as ample space to lounge, sunbathe and take in the views of the city and waterfront.
Omnes designed the planting and soil systems for the roof, integrating within a series of curvilinear concrete walls frame nooks for seating, lounging, tanning, and dining on the roof. The palette utilizes Mediterranean-inspired plants that thrive in zone 7B, creating a framework that both shelters the roof deck and provides expansive views. Omnes also emphasized aromatic plants that engage all the senses, while also providing year-round interest.
