A Garden for All is a living laboratory at Omnes’ new studio within the Simon Silk Mill. The space overlooks a common courtyard, providing the perfect opportunity to define an outdoor space for everybody to gather. When not in use for our own meetings and work, it is frequented by visitors to the Simon Silk Mill and adjacent Karl Stirner Arts Trail.
An assortment of different chairs by Landscape Forms is centered on a Loll harvest table, allowing clients to test furnishings before specifying them on projects. The buttercup yellow loungers have proven popular with people of all ages, and are the best place to spot visitors enjoying ice cream from our neighbors at Owowcow.
In this common space, Omnes’ experimentation with palettes and growth conditions allows us to engage all visitors with the unique wonders of plants. We started half of the garden from seeds and cuttings, largely focusing on native, medicinal, and homeopathic species. We plan to further propagate plants, experiment with new cultivars, and grow our knowledge over the coming years.
