The historic home of the Supplee-Wills-Jones Dairy in the Brewerytown neighborhood of Philadelphia is being redeveloped into loft apartments, artist studios, gallery spaces, and parking. The impressive historic character of the architecture will be highlighted and restored. In partnership with Coscia Moos Architecture and Heritage Consulting, Omnes will design a series of green spaces throughout the project in the form of plazas, atriums and tenant patios, all connected by a conceptual “green thread” that will weave through the interior spaces.
The landscape design aims to bring the feeling of the interior out by employing tile “carpets” and an eclectic mix of vintage-inspired furnishings and historic artifacts. The proposed planting on site will be lush, inspired by the concept of nature’s reclamation of urban spaces. Wherever the sun reaches, there will be opportunity for plants to bring new life to the building and offer tenants and visitors beautiful spaces to look out upon or relax within.
