Bushkill Creek Greenway Master Plan

A Climate Change Action Plan

The Bushkill Creek Greenway Master Plan is a visionary yet practical path forward for this beloved linear corridor of parks and trails, ensuring it remains a resilient, vibrant, and welcoming community asset for generations to come. Bushkill Creek Greenway Master Plan unites various trails and public spaces as a cohesive greenway experience for the first time, rather than a bike trail and collection of waterfront parks.

One of the first rails-to-trails projects in the United States, the 122-acre Bushkill Creek Greenway is a place to fish, swim, play, gather, and connect with nature. The master plan envisions a Greenway where resilient landscapes meet recreation, and heritage meets innovation. By investing in both infrastructure and ecology, the plan ensures that this riparian corridor remains a safe, accessible, and dynamic place for future generations. The plan about celebrating a unique landscape, strengthening community identity, and building resilience in the face of climate change.

Omnes served as prime consultant, leading vision, design, and public engagement. Wildlands Conservancy focused on ecological restoration and recommendations for dam removal projects along the Bushkill Creek. AKRF Engineering provided resiliency and stormwater engineering recommendations, designing infrastructure that mitigates the risks of climate change.
