ArtsWalk Plaza at Strata East

A civic gateway to the ArtsWalk

Connecting the Soldiers and Sailors Monument at Center Square to the Allentown Art Museum, the linear plaza of the ArtsWalk links multiple arts, retail, restaurant, and residential uses along its armature. Three new linear segments make the ArtsWalk legible as a continuous arts-infused thread with uniform site elements. This first phase, Strata East, creates a flexible plaza with custom catenary lighting, custom furnishings, and verdant planting. Continuing across 6th Street, the Court Street segment of the ArtsWalk activates the streetscape south of Miller Symphony Hall and its historic façade – and will feature artistic lighting beginning later this summer. Laura Stedenfeld worked as Landscape Architect & Project Manager on this project while at Land Collective.
